Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your professional safari guide will warmly welcome you with the famous Swahili greeting: “Karibu Tanzania!” You will be transferred to your lodge in Arusha, where you can relax after your journey and enjoy the peaceful African surroundings. Depending on your arrival time, you may spend the afternoon resting by the pool or enjoying the beautiful gardens.

Today is a relaxing day to recover from your international flight and prepare for the exciting safari ahead. You can enjoy the lodge facilities, relax by the pool, or explore the vibrant town of Arusha through optional activities such as:

Dinner and overnight at Karama Lodge
Today you visit the beautiful and often overlooked Arusha National Park for your first safari experience. This scenic park lies at the foot of Mount Meru and is known for its diverse landscapes including forests, lakes, craters and waterfalls. It is also famous for its rich birdlife and the striking black-and-white colobus monkeys.
Enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and stunning views of Mount Meru before returning to Arusha in the afternoon.
Dinner and overnight at Karama Lodge
Today you can either relax at the lodge or choose from several optional excursions around Arusha. One popular activity is a visit to the beautiful waterfalls on the slopes of Mount Meru. A short scenic hike leads you through lush forest to a refreshing natural pool where you can swim beneath the cascading waterfall.

After breakfast, depart to Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive in time for lunch and enjoy an afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National Park.

After an early breakfast, you will do a morning game drive in Central Serengeti National Park on route heading to Ngorongoro Crater. This crater is the largest inactive, intact, and unfilled volcanic caldera in the world. This was formed when a large volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself about three billion years ago. Then you will drive down the steep and narrow road that takes you into the crater. Here the wildlife is just breathtaking and with a little luck you can observe the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard in just a few hours. After a morning dedicated to game viewing and a picnic lunch at the hippo pool and once our tour is finished, we will continue on our way to our accommodation

Today you take a scenic domestic flight to the exotic island of Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your beachfront resort.
