The 7 Days Lemosho Route is widely considered one of the best routes to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. The trail starts on the remote western side of the mountain at Lemosho Gate and crosses lush rainforest, the vast Shira Plateau, and dramatic alpine landscapes before reaching the summit at Uhuru Peak (5,895 m).
Because the route approaches the summit gradually, it provides excellent acclimatization, beautiful scenery, and a high summit success rate. The first days of the trek are quieter compared to other routes, allowing climbers to enjoy the wilderness and wildlife in Kilimanjaro’s rainforest.
